PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Target Completions T690 RaZor Dual Bore Single string hydraulic set double grip production packer Pbr Top This high performance dual bore hydraulic set packer offers the reliability of the Optima Series permanent packer but can be retrieved with the production tubing connected. The added upper seal bore allows the tubing size to be increased maximizing the flow thru the seal assembly and tubing. The RaZor Pbr top can be supplied with Premium thread connections to the mandrel
The RaZor is a centerline out design improving the performance, interchangeability of parts, added gage rings allowing for specific casing weight reducing extrusion gap and increasing performance of the element system, improved releasing / upper slip system.
The RaZor also has a longer stroke cylinder section for customized element systems. The RaZor can be supplied with peek backups, custom element systems and materials for specialized HPHT applications.
RaZor can be set up to run:
- CUT TO RELEASE MANDREL (CHEMICAL OR BLADE CUT MANDREL)
- SHEAR RELEASE MANDREL (TYPICALLY 120,000 LBS SHEAR)
- WIRELINE RELEASE MANDREL (ALLOWS UNSETTING WITH W/L JAR )
(THE WIRELINE RELEASE MODE CAN ALSO CUT TO RELEASE OR SHEAR TO RELEASE)
OPERATION
Setting: Run packer to desired depth and pressure tubing string to the recommended set pressure and the packer will set shearing the setting shear pins, engage the slips into the casing wall and packing off the element system. The RaZor packer sets without any tubing manipulation, so tubing can be flanged up at surface before setting of the RaZor packer. The setting shear screws are field adjustable.
Release: Depends on Seal accessories run, but once latched to the packer - Straight pick up of the tubing string will shear the releasing shear screws, further pick-up engage the mandrel pickup ring to the upper slip housing releasing the slips and removing the packer from the casing. The RaZor release
modes are:
- Cut to release, continued pick up engaging the upper slips unsetting the packer
- Shear to release, continued pick up engaging the upper slips unsetting the packer
- Wireline release, continued pick up engaging the upper slip unsetting the packer
(wireline release can also be cut to release and shear to release)
