Product Description:
The HULK plug is a Large-Bore wireline set ESP Pump Catcher plug. The HULK Plug was tested to 200,000 lbs. force and is calculated to hold 300,000 lbs. of force without moving. A big advantage with this plug is the large ID. The pressure drop across the Plug is minimal and will not restrict production while using an ESP.
Another big advantage comes when it is necessary to fish an ESP pump that has fallen off the production string. The HULK plug keeps the pump stationary in the vertical or horizontal casing sections of the well bore. A large time saver when fishing the ESP pump from the well.
Plug Removal is easy. A milling tool and a packer plucker used in combination to retrieve the HULK Plug. Simply mill off the top of the plug and the upper slips and pull the HULK from the casing. With the special slip material and Heat Treat the upper and lower slip keeps them in a single configuration. This makes it easy to mill the upper slip and retrieve the lower slip as one piece.
