PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Target Completions T1255 X-FORCE 12.5k DoubleGrip production packer. The X-Force is a single string double grip production packer that holds pressure from above or below. The

X-Force can be set with tubing in tension or compression, once set the tubing can be landed in tension, compression or neutral positions. The X-Force can also be set on e-line with the appropriate size pressure setting tool. The X-Force is designed to hold 12,500 psi from below in the bull plugged condition (plugged on bottom of tool using target T597 HP pump out plugs) and release with less than 15,000 lbs tension. The X-Force has been tested to API 11D1 V3 specifications.

OPERATION

Setting: Run packer to desired depth, pick up tubing string and turn 1/4 turn at packer and set down until lower slips engage, stack out until recommended weight at packer is achieved. Pick up tubing string and apply tension until the recommended force is reached and the packer is set. The tubing can now be landed in tension, compression or neutral or can be disconnected if using the Target T512 T-2HP 12.5K on off tool.

Release: Set down weight landing the packer in compression set mode and turn one quarter turn at the packer and pick up the tubing string. This action will remove the j-pins from the tension shoulder and with further upward movement open the equalizing bypass system. Continued upward movement will engage the top sub with the upper slip assembly pulling 15,000 lbs tension, set down 15,000 lbs compression apply right hand torque and next motion up the tool will be released.
